Job Description:
Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) needs a Principal Field Service Specialist to provide mission support of Global Hawk Ground Segments. This is for the Ground Segment Site Lead position at Grand Forks, ND and will report directly to the Field Engineering Section Manager. Site Lead duties include leading a team of 8 direct reports. Candidate will be permanently assigned to Grand Forks AFB, ND but must be open to travel for mission support to various CONUS and OCONUS Global Hawk Ground Station locations worldwide. Duties include HW/SW installation, checkout and debug HW/SW, design and develop solutions to problems discovered through installation, checkout, and use or system analysis, determine root cause, develop, design and implement solutions or coordinate with customer and plant engineers to resolve issues. The position also requires interfacing with customers on short-term and long-term technical, operational, mission related and deployment requirements. Candidate must also be able to develop, coordinate and implement plans to achieve customer requirements and analyze system performance vs. technical requirements, research and make HW/SW improvement recommendations. This supports an Airborne Communications Node through Global Hawk Ground Stations Operations. Required Skills:
o 5
years HW/SW maintenance/troubleshooting/design skills for UNIX systems. o UNIX general system administration. o Existing SECRET CLEARANCE o Willing and able to travel CONUS/OCONUS as required o Direct experience on SUN and/or SGI workstations (or equivalent UNIX platform), Ethernet networks (Fast/Giga), routers and switches. o General knowledge of networking Desired Skills:
o Prior management experience o UNIX coding/debugging; experience in ATM LANs, long haul links, RF links, VOIP, and data communications. o Experience with scripting, C++, Java, Perl, Python, Sybase and/or SQL o Cryptos KG75/175. RF and data links. Any familiarity with the Global Hawk Ground Segment a plus. o Experience or familiarity with HVAC, UPS systems, diesel generators a plus. Workweek :
Non-standard work week, overtime/weekends/shift work likely in support of 24x7 operations. Required Education (including Major):
Associate's degree in a related field. May substitute 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree requirement (total of 9 years of experience). This position be a US person Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling,prioritizing, coaching and process execution. Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices. Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited bylocal laws/regulations.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
